Find my polling place

Type your home address and we'll show the precinct you live in, the polling place officially assigned to it, and how to get there by bus.

Privacy: the address you type is never stored, logged, or shared by TransitToTurnout. It is only used to find your precinct — the location search happens in your browser and sends the address to the public OpenStreetMap lookup service.

Election day help & your rights

Polls are open 6 AM–7 PM. If you're in line by 7 PM, stay in line — you have the right to vote.
Bring an accepted ID, or sign an ID Confirmation Statement at the polls if you don't have one.
If your name isn't on the voter list, ask for a provisional ballot — don't leave without one.
Can't enter the polling place because of age (65+) or a disability? Ask for curbside voting.
Problems at the polls? Call the nonpartisan Election Protection hotline: 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).

Registration & status check

Check if you're registered — or register or update your address — on Virginia's Citizen Portal. You can also download the paper registration form there to mail in.
Missed the Oct. 23 deadline? After it, you can register in person and vote a provisional ballot at the same visit — during early voting or on Election Day, through Nov. 3.

What to bring

One accepted ID: a Virginia driver's license or DMV ID, U.S. passport, student ID from a Virginia college, employer photo ID, military ID, tribal ID, concealed-carry permit, voter confirmation document, or a current utility bill, bank statement, or paycheck with your name and address.
No ID with you? You can still vote after signing an ID Confirmation Statement at the polls.
At the wrong polling place? Poll workers can tell you where to go — if you can get there and are in line by 7 PM you can vote there. Can't make it? Ask for a provisional ballot rather than leaving.

Precinct areas come from the City of Charlottesville precinct map and the Albemarle County election ordinance, and each polling place is the one officially assigned to your precinct — not simply the nearest building. Confirm your assignment with the Virginia polling place lookup before election day.

Some Albemarle polling places are near CAT routes, while others have no bus nearby. Find My Polling Place shows nearby lines, and our transit gaps page lists alternatives like JAUNT, MicroCAT, and rideshare.
